Growing stronger
Looking back, 2020 proved to be quite a different year for everyone, including the Community Provider Association. We faced many obstacles and adversity; however, we were also able to accomplish a lot as well with the help of our Board of Directors and valued CPA members. For that, we are grateful.
Who We Are
We are an organization dedicated to providing support to individuals with disabilities in Louisiana. We work with organizations around the state to ensure that best practices are being utilized and critical information is distributed to organizational leaders, which helps these organizations save money and operate more efficiently. Together with our members, we continued fulfilling our mission to secure necessary public funding and to pursue initiatives through advocacy, collaboration, and education.
what we do
In 2020 we were able to:
- Secure supplemental appropriation of $36.2M from state legislature to help organizations suffering from the impact of Covid-19
- Fight against cuts to disability services in the state budget
- Host virtual town hall meetings with members of our Congressional delegation to push for federal aid
