What is a Virtual Town Hall Meeting?Town hall meetings are historically a way for local politicians to meet with their constituents. This enables both parties to hear from each other on topics of interest in order to discuss specific upcoming legislation or regulation. Instead of this being in person, these meetings will be held virtually via a video conference.

Our goalThe CPA Team will connect with Louisiana's Congressional delegation through a series of virtual town hall meetings. The CPA's goal is to engage with each of Louisiana's senators and representatives over the next few weeks to discuss the issues IDD providers and support coordinators are facing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

TopicsThe Virtual Town Hall Meetings will be a time for CPA members to connect with their representatives and educate them about pressing issues in the IDD community. We will also outline ways in which our delegation can help at the federal level.
